Accepted extended abstracts are intended to be published either in time for distribution during the workshop or shortly after the event. Accordingly, only extended abstracts prepared in full compliance with these Guidelines will be considered for publication in the Workshop Proceedings

Submission of an extended abstract implies that the work is original, has not been previously published, is not under consideration elsewhere, and will not be published in the same form, in English or any other language, if accepted for this workshop

Extended abstracts should be submitted in Word Format, there should be a margin of about 3 cm on the left-hand side of the page, and at least 2 cm on the right-hand side, with 3 cm at the top and bottom. Submitted papers should be received in FOUR files

When preparing the manuscript, authors should not use automatic hyphenation, justified text alignment, double-column layout, or automatic paragraph numbering. The use of bold, italics, subscripts, and superscripts is encouraged where appropriate

HEADINGS

FIRST-ORDER HEADING–

Fourth-order heading–
Italics, aligned to the left margin. Text follows on the same line
If further subdivision is required, use numeric or alphabetic notation, e.g. (1), (2), (3) or (a), (b), (c)
Authors must use standard British English spelling (Oxford English Dictionary) and not American spelling

GEOGRAPHIC NAMES

All geographic names, excluding stratigraphic unit names, must follow the spelling conventions of the National Atlas of Libya, which adheres to the Official Standard Names Gazetteer

If the Atlas or Gazetteer is unavailable, authors should refer to the following authoritative publications where geographic names conform to the National Atlas of Libya

Stratigraphic Terminology and Nomenclature

Standard stratigraphic terminology and unit names should be used where available, with reference to Barr and Weegar (1972), Hammuda et al. (1985), and IRC publications

Where no standard nomenclature exists, authors must adopt a single, consistent naming convention throughout the text and figures. In cases where multiple names exist for the same unit, one name should be selected as the primary term, with alternative names listed in parentheses at first mention only. Consistency must be maintained throughout the manuscript.

Footnotes

Footnotes should not be used, except in tables where they must be kept concise. Information should instead be incorporated directly into the main text
